Forensic Mental Health Clinician Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Forensic Mental Health Clinician. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialist forensic mental health services to individuals with a serious mental illness who have offended or are at risk of offending.
* You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
* Your expertise in forensic mental health risk assessment, care planning, and service delivery will be essential in ensuring the effective management of high-risk consumers.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in forensic mental health, including experience working with consumers who have complex needs. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with consumers, families, and carers, as well as other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide specialist forensic mental health services to consumers with a serious mental illness who have offended or are at risk of offending.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
* Conduct forensic mental health risk assessments and provide advice on risk management strategies.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with relevant stakeholders, including AMHWS, social support services, and correctional facilities.
Requirements:
* Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
* Postgraduate qualification in forensic mental health or a related field.
* Registration or membership with the relevant Board or Association (e.g., AHPRA, APS, ASW).
