Job Title: Procurement Specialist
The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in the administration of all post-award contractual obligations and deliverables for assigned project contracts.
About This Role
* Assess, review, and advise on contractor claims such as EOTs, progress claims, and payment requests to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution.
* Provide input into additional scopes of work, assess associated costs and risks, compile minor tenders and requests for quotations, involving evaluations, negotiations, selection, and award to meet business objectives.
* Compile pre- and post-award contracting documentation, monitor contractor compliance, manage contract securities and insurance provisions, and oversee post-award contract management activities, including contract variations to maintain effective relationships with contractors.
* Review, assess, and coordinate monthly progress claims and relevant invoices; prepare and execute progress payment certificates to facilitate smooth project execution.
* Facilitate regular project progress meetings with contractors, record and distribute meeting minutes, and follow up on key actions to ensure open communication and collaboration.
* Close out contracts including securities, completion certificates, and other contractual correspondence; support administration of relevant budget and expenditure of contracts to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements
* 5 years of experience working as a contracts administrator, preferably within multi-disciplinary major projects.
* Degree or diploma in Business, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or Cost Engineering.
* Knowledge of industry contracting practices and experience with models including EPC, EPCM, EPCMI, D&C, BOOT; familiarity with Schedule of Rate, lump sum, and hard dollar contracts.
* Current unrestricted working rights for Australia.
