Become a Chef in a Remote Setting
We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional to join our team as a permanent Chef at a remote mining village contract. The ideal candidate will have cooking qualifications and a strong background in kitchen operations, food preparation, and service.
Job Description
* Prepare and present high-quality meals for clients, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
* Maintain accurate records of dietary requirements, allergies, and special requests.
* Contribute to stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking processes.
* Ensure the kitchen, equipment, and utensils are clean and well-maintained.
* Comply with legislated food hygiene and safety practices.
* Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong commitment to friendly and professional customer service. A motivated and positive attitude is essential, along with resourcefulness, resilience, and creative thinking.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Food Safety Certification (desired).
* A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in kitchen operations, food preparation, and service, preferably in a remote environment.
* A manual driver's license (preferred) and forklift license (desired).
