Yass Soldiers Club is seeking an experienced Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of 86 Meehan Café. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a motivated hospitality professional with strong people management, customer service, and operational skills.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Management, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of café operations, including staff supervision, service delivery, compliance, stock control, and customer experience. This role requires a proactive leader who can maintain high standards while driving efficiency,consistency and business operations. This role suits someone who enjoys leading from the front, building strong teams, putting their own stamp on a business and delivering consistently high customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day café operations in a high-volume environment
* Lead, train, and support front-of-house café staff
* Assist with or manage staff rosters, labour control, and daily workflow
* Deliver excellent customer service and manage customer feedback
* Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, RSA, and club policies
* Support stock control, ordering, and waste minimisation
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
* Work closely with kitchen and F&B management on menus, promotions, and events
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as a Café Manager or Senior Supervisor
* Strong leadership potential with the ability to motivate and develop staff
* Experience in café or hospitality operations
* Confidence managing service periods and customer interactions
* Working knowledge of food safety and WHS requirements
* Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
* RSA (or willingness to obtain)
