Overview
The Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick Psychology Department is seeking to appoint a temporary part‐time Clinical Neuropsychologist (24 hours per week) for approximately 12 months, to consult to patients primarily referred by the Neurology, Neuro‐Oncology and Neurosurgery teams. The Clinical Neuropsychologist will work closely with multi‐disciplinary team members and psychology colleagues to promote optimal outcomes for patients. Responsibilities
The Clinical Neuropsychologist will consult to patients primarily referred by the Neurology, Neuro‐Oncology and Neurosurgery teams, working closely with multidisciplinary team members and psychology colleagues to promote optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and full endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology, or eligible to progress to same.
* Minimum 2 year full‐time equivalent accredited post‐graduate Masters or Doctorate Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology.
* Experience in the neuropsychological assessment and management of children with a history of acquired brain injury, developmental disorder and/or neurological conditions.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multi‐disciplinary team environment.
* Excellent oral, written communication and organisational skills.
* Applicants currently enrolled in a combined Masters/PhD are eligible to apply if they have completed the equivalent of Masters degree requirements as part of the PhD pathway. Evidence is demonstrated by a completed PDEC‐76 form and cover letter from the University confirming Masters degree requirements have been met.
* Applicants who have completed an accredited Masters degree and are awaiting their graduation ceremony must provide written confirmation from the University.
* Successful applicants who have completed the Masters degree or its requirements and are awaiting full registration from the Psychology Board of Australia will be paid at Year 2 of the Psychologist Scale until they have full registration, at which point they will commence on Year 1 of the Clinical Psychologist scale.
