Drakes Supermarkets is a leading Australian grocery retailer with over 60 stores across South Australia and Queensland. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Bakery Assistant Manager to join our team.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of our stores' bakery department, ensuring the smooth operation of the department. This includes managing and coaching the team, completing production, actioning orders, generating rosters, and more.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage a team of bakery staff
* Assist in the management of production, including ordering and cost control
* Action customer orders and ensure timely delivery
* Generate rosters and schedules for bakery staff
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Fresh food retail knowledge (preferably)
* Ability to supervise a team and manage workload
* Understanding of ordering, cost control, and gross profit
* Accurate team member rostering
* Passion and enthusiasm for customer service
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to liaise with both team members and management
* Flair for merchandising
* Commitment to work health and safety standards
