Play a key role in setting up and managing a BESS trading desk.
Your new company Is a successful international developer.
They develop and operate a range of renewables platforms including batteries, offshore and onshore wind farms, solar, waste to energy, bioenergy and hybrid systems.
Your current role Reporting to the Energy Markets Manager, you will work with the broader Energy Markets team as well as the battery bidding optimisation algorithm to determine the day ahead BESS revenue optimisation strategy, setting up price and volume bid bands, and overseeing rebids daily.
Who you are This will be a challenging and rewarding role for a person who thrives in a trading environment and shows sound judgment based on complex and evolving risk factors.
You will need around 3-5 years energy market experience with Quantitative Trading, Power Spot, Forward Trading and/or Trading Analysis.You might be a commercially focused Energy Trader with enough technical ability and experience to work with the algorithm and do the required modelling and analysis, or you are more technically minded with a maths or quantitative background and the ability to build your own models and algorithms.
You also have the experience to turn the analysis into commercial opportunities.
