Patient Coordinator / Senior Medical Receptionist (x2 Positions)

Tasman Plastic Surgery is a boutique specialist practice led by Dr Nanda Kandamany, a highly respected and sought-after Plastic Surgeon known for delivering exceptional outcomes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
We are seeking two confident individuals to join our team as Patient Coordinators / Senior Medical Receptionists in a casual/part time role with real opportunities for growth.
You will be working within a close-knit team in a busy specialist plastic surgery practice, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic and ensuring a high standard of patient care.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge of, or is willing to learn about, all aspects of plastic surgery — including breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, massive weight loss surgery, and more. Most importantly, we are seeking individuals with a genuine passion for patient care who are committed to supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, from initial enquiry through to post-operative care.
Being a team player is a must and the desire to help people (our patients and your co-workers) is essential.
You will receive on the job training and support; however, the successful candidate will possess the initiative and motivation to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with the team. You must be the type of person who is a self-starter and looks for more work to do within the day, and willing to put your hand up to assist where required.
The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and collaboratively in our busy single surgeon practice to deliver the best possible experience to our patients.
Previous medical receptionist experience is preferred.
YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
· Medical administrative duties
· Medical reception
· Patient billing, invoicing, account reconciliation, and banking
· Handling patient enquiries via phone, email, online chat, and social media
· Patient relationship management throughout the entire surgical journey
· Scheduling and managing consultations and hospital bookings
· Providing patients with surgical quotes
· Diary and schedule management
· Following up with and maintaining relationships with past patients
· Maintaining clean and welcoming patient and staff spaces
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU CAN DEMONSTRATE:
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team
· Genuine interest in cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgery
· Experience in a similar role (medical reception or patient coordination)
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Warm, friendly, and professional manner
· Excellent organisation and multitasking ability
· Strong time management and problem-solving skills
· High level of professionalism in a busy clinical environment
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Experience with medical software i.e Genie or Shexie (advantageous but not essential)
· Impeccable personal presentation
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
