Job Summary
Martinus is seeking a motivated Safety Advisor, ideally with experience in utilities, to join our team on the A2P Railway Project based in Forbes, NSW. We welcome applications from both local candidates and those interested in a FIFO arrangement. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile rail infrastructure project, with a strong focus on maintaining and promoting a positive safety culture across both rail and utility works.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide advice and drive continuous improvement to support the project team in maintaining a safe workplace Promote and facilitate the company's Health, Safety and Environmental Management Plan to our staff, vendors and sub-contractors on site Monitor HSE performance of the project/site teams and contractors, ensuring that activities comply with related legislation and company policy Coordinate safety toolbox meetings with staff and subcontractor personnel Conduct HSE inspections, audits, investigations and training/awareness Assist in the development and compilation of relevant HSE documentation
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
Demonstrated experience working within utilities, civil, or rail infrastructure projects Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or currently completing) Qualifications or proven experience in Training & Assessment, and Drug & Alcohol Testing Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and environmental management frameworks Practical experience applying HSE principles across high-risk environments, particularly utility services (water, power, gas) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
