**Job Description**:
Bring your payroll experience to Brisbane's largest luxury hotel in this stand-alone position. This part-time role is ideal for an experienced Payroll Officer who is able to work three days per week - Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, the Payroll Officer ensures accurate preparation and processing of a fortnightly payroll for 300 employees. This is an on-site role working from your own private office.
**What you will be doing**:
- Process fortnightly payroll for all hotel employees
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports
- Liaise with department managers and supervisors to assist with payroll queries
- STP reporting to the ATO on the completion of each pay-run
- Maintain superannuation, ATO-PAYG, PPL scheme and WorkCover compliance
- Ensure data integrity in payroll and rostering systems (Wage Easy and Time Target)
- Keep up to date with requirements for the configuration and intended use of payroll and rostering systems.
**Qualifications**:
**Your experience, skills and requirements include**:
- Availability to work 3 days per week on Monday, Tuesday and Friday
- Previous experience in payroll processing in a similar role
- Proficiency with rostering and payroll systems (Wage Easy and Time Target preferred)
- Knowledge of the Hospitality Industry Award and experience with Collective Agreements
- Strong technical skills and a high level of computer literacy including advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency with SUN systems and Opera
- Understanding of financial principles and internal controls
- A team player and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
