The Business
DB Ag is an agribusiness that has six equity partners who actively work the business. We have a philosophy of combining corporate disciplines that enhances our management processes with a flat management structure to allow timely decision making.
All business units are located in southern NSW. DB Ag operates farming interests at Ariah Park, Mirrool and Merriwagga. Griffith Feed & Grain and GFG Rural Supplies are based in the named city and conduct retail sales, wholesale supply and warehousing services.
This role will work as part of the “Griffith Feed and Grain” (GFG) retail business and report to the Business Manager. GFG is a significant rural produce, clothing and pet supplies business that has been running for 25 plus years. You can find out more at www.griffithfeedandgrain.com

Position
This role has come about due to an expansion of our dog grooming facilities. It is anticipated that this role will work in with a team of four (including this role) in our dog grooming business and will be based out of our retail business site, in Griffith NSW.
This position would ideally suit an individual who has a minimum of one years’ experience in dog grooming. Additionally, they will be passionate about animals and possess a sound knowledge of dog breeds and correct breed grooming standards for a variety of coats and sizes
Duties
The initial focus of the role will be to obtain a good understanding of the business and our systems. We will then assist the successful candidate to develop a relationship with our current client base.
Once the successful applicant has a grasp of their role, they will be afforded a high level of autonomy. However, we acknowledge that there is a broad knowledge base to be developed, and we will support the successful candidate to grow in their role.
- Greet customers and their dogs
- Groom dogs to their owners satisfaction and in a manner appropriate for their breed.
- Shampoo, dry, clip/shave and brush dog’s coat
- Clean the ears and around sanitary area
- Accommodate owners special requests
- Inform owner of any health concerns
- Keep the facility clean and hygienic
- Maintain equipment and supplies
Qualifications
· Dog Grooming Certificate – desirable
Skills – Role Related
· Minimum of one year dog grooming experience
· Able to finish grooms in a timely manner
· Be confident in grooming dogs to breed cut
· Able to assess an animal’s condition and behaviour

Remuneration
· Hourly rate – to be discussed with the successful applicant
· Full Time and Part Time positions will be considered
