Ballarat Hospice Care is seeking a reliable and practical Stores and Equipment Assistant to provide equipment to patients receiving palliative and end-of-life care.
In this hands-on role, you will coordinate, clean, maintain, and safely transport medical equipment, ensuring it is ready, safe, and compliant. A key focus is on delivering and collecting equipment from patients' homes, requiring physical capability and safe manual handling.
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, you will ensure equipment is organised, fit for purpose, and delivered with care, while regularly interacting with patients and families with empathy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and collect medical equipment to and from patients' homes safely and efficiently.
* Assist with equipment stock, storage, and maintenance, including updates to the BHCI Asset Register.
* Maintain equipment to safe, clean standards in line with infection control and OH&S requirements.
* Monitor and address property maintenance needs.
