Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist
A Health and Safety Specialist is required to partner with Site Managers to develop and implement health and safety systems that promote a positive safety culture. As part of our team, you will be responsible for conducting site safety inspections, hazard identifications, and risk assessments to ensure a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety Inspections and Hazard Identifications: Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents.
* Risk Assessments and Reporting: Perform thorough risk assessments and provide detailed reports on findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
* Incident Investigations: Investigate incidents and injuries, and provide recommendations for improvement to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
* Policy Development and Review: Develop and review health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Work Heath & Safety/OHS: Hold a current Certificate IV in Work Heath & Safety or Occupational Health and Safety.
* Driver's License: Possess a current driver's license.
* Legislation Knowledge: Have a good understanding of Work Health and Safety Legislation and its application in the workplace.
* Industry Experience: Have experience working in a blue-collar industry, preferably in mining or quarrying.
* Computer Literacy: Be proficient in computer software and applications used for health and safety record-keeping and reporting.
