Western Truck Group Toowoomba are seeking qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Technicians, Diesel Motor Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Motor Mechanics (General) and Fitters to join our team in full time roles

WTG are authorised Volvo, UD & Mack truck dealers (along with Isuzu trucks in Mackay) across regional Queensland, the Northern Territory and New South Wales, and we are also supported by a strong network of regional Customer Service Centres covering a broader area to support our valued customers.

To be considered for our Heavy Diesel Technicians, Diesel Motor Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Motor Mechanics (General) and Fitters opportunities, you will need to demonstrate appropriate Automotive Trade qualifications.
You will be responsible for:
General servicing and repairs of heavy trucks and associated equipment
Scheduled preventative maintenance, and refurbishment
Diagnosis of and systematic fault finding
Breakdown and call-out provisions
Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
Dedication to and growth through continued training
Full and accurate maintenance and of all customers, workplace and factory records
Valued skills and prior experience include:
Primary focus on safety and security of all personnel, equipment and environment
Knowledge and experience across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
A high degree of dependability, reliability and dedication to quality workmanship
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to organise and self-manage work and parts if required
Competency with relevant computer systems
Excellent work ethic, gaining enjoyment from practical and manual activities
Strong and methodical job planning skills
Genuine desire to be a team player
