About the Role: We are seeking experienced Underground Diesel Fitters to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of underground mobile mining equipment to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain underground diesel equipment, including loaders, trucks, drills, and ancillary machinery. Perform scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs in a safe and efficient manner. Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures. Work collaboratively with the maintenance and operational teams to ensure production targets are met. Maintain accurate service records and adhere to site safety policies and procedures. Requirements: Relevant trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter/Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. Underground mining or UG OEM background for breakdown fitters. Workshop fitters can come from open-cut mining, agriculture, or heavy road transport backgrounds. Experience working with underground mining equipment (e.g., Caterpillar, Sandvik, Epiroc). Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an underground environment. Commitment to safety and compliance with mine site regulations.
