Child Mental Health Specialist Position

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the well-being of children and young people in the South-East Region of Queensland.

* The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering targeted therapeutic interventions for mild to moderate mental health needs of students, as well as collaborating with school staff to support student mental health and wellbeing.


Responsibilities:

The Child Mental Health Specialist will be responsible for providing counselling and therapeutic interventions with students, parents, and families, as well as administering psycho-educational assessments and coordinating training programs.

* Counselling and therapeutic interventions will be provided in a supportive and non-judgmental environment, taking into account the individual needs of each student and family.
* Collaboration with school staff will be essential in developing and implementing strategies to support student mental health and wellbeing.
