About the opportunity
The Power BI Developer reports to the Business Systems Manager and is part of the IT Team. The key focus of this role is to develop, implement and maintain business intelligence solutions using Power BI. More specifically, you will:
Design, develop and optimise interactive dashboards and reports
Build relationships, support and work closely with internal stakeholders to develop solutions that meet business objectives and requirements
Identify system needs for customers, find custom solutions and ensure positive outcomes
Fine-tune Power BI solutions for speed and efficiency to enhance user experience
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision making and contribute to the evolution of the BI landscape
Create clear and concise documentation for reports, dashboards and processes
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
3+ years experience in developing and deploying reporting solutions with Power BI or other visualisation tools
Proficiency in DAX and SQL query language
Experience working with MS Fabric tools including OneLake, Lakehouse, Notebooks and pipelines for scalable data preparation and orchestration
Strong background in data platform development with hands-on experience in data warehouses, writing advanced SQL queries and stored procedures
Experience in data governance and documentation, including creating data dictionaries, taxonomies and metadata and contributing to user-friendly technical documentation
Data analytical experience and business acumen
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
