Overview
The Insurance & Claims Manager is a key member of the Legal & Commercial team responsible for the administration, maintenance and ongoing operation of Rheinmetall's Australian and New Zealand insurance program in conjunction with the Rheinmetall Group's local and international brokerage houses and Düsseldorf based insurance division. In addition, the Insurance & Claims Manager will support the management of corporate and project related claims with third parties. This role requires building strong relationships with local and overseas stakeholders, acting as the insurance SME within RDA and serving as the sole initial point-of-contact throughout Rheinmetall's Australian and New Zealand operations on all insurance related queries.
About your new team
The Insurance & Claims Manager is a key member of the Legal & Commercial team, which is spread across multiple locations — our Redbank manufacturing facility (MILVEHCOE), Melbourne and Adelaide offices. They work collaboratively to support various parts of Rheinmetall's Australian and New Zealand operations on all Legal and Commercial matters.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role include:
* Experience managing a corporate insurance program either in-house or as a client facing broker;
* Strong attention to detail, especially in relation to financial forecasting;
* Experience managing insurance claims from the notification stage through to settlement and subrogated recovery with clear examples of the negotiation of advantageous outcomes for insured parties;
* An understanding and ability to interpret and modify contracts, specifically as they relate to insurance obligations imposed upon counterparties;
* Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required (likely annually);
* Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
