Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex risks, navigating international insurance markets, and driving business development initiatives. As a key member of our brokerage team, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining client relationships, securing new business opportunities, and overseeing the placement and servicing of insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management: Manage a portfolio of high-profile clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with bespoke solutions and delivering outstanding service.
Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, both within existing client relationships and through new market segments, expanding the client base.
Risk Management Strategy: Develop and execute risk management strategies that align with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Market Negotiation: Negotiate terms with insurers and underwriters to secure competitive premiums, optimal coverage, and favorable policy conditions.
Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, global markets, and emerging risks to identify new opportunities and ensure clients' portfolios remain comprehensive and competitive.
Client Retention: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention while identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
Requirements
In order to succeed in this role, you will require as a minimum the following:
* 5 years' experience as an Account Manager or in a similar role within the insurance industry.
* Demonstrated expertise in handling complex risks and navigating international insurance markets.
* A strong business development mindset with a track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Relevant qualifications in insurance broking or risk management.
* Well developed critical thinking skills
* Experience in using financial services software including Insight and Sunrise Exchange and the Microsoft suite of products
