Rothsay Gold Mine is a high-grade, narrow vein, underground gold mine located approximately 300 km north-northeast of Perth and 85km southeast of Deflector Operations. Rothsay commenced underground mining in late 2020 and comprises two declines, with ore being mined via long-hole stoping.
Reporting to the Mine Manager the Camp Maintenance Plumber is responsible for conducting minor/major repairs to the Rothsay Village and to co-ordinate specialized repairs and maintenance activities with external contractors.
The position will be offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO available for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
* Coordinate and execute repairs to the Rothsay village.
* Ensure all preventative maintenance functions are performed and where applicable, allocate coverages for breakdown and preventive maintenance.
* Ensure allocated tasks are completed safely and on schedule.
* Conduct weekly checks on the Waste Water sprayfields to ensure operational and water is not ponding.
* Proactively promote safety initiatives.
About You
* Minimum 2 years experience working within the mining industry
* Plumbing experience preferred
* Experience with liaising with external contractors
* Knowledge of basic camp maintenance
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
