Your new role
As Financial Controller, located in our Brisbane office, you will play a key role in providing accounts expertise to our national firm.
Working with the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer, your variety of work will include:
Preparing monthly financial reports in line with board requirements
Overseeing payroll and ensuring compliance with ATO, Superannuation, and Payroll Tax regulations
Managing trust compliance and annual trust audits
Leading strategic planning, budgeting, and ad hoc reporting
Acting as a role model and mentor to the finance team, promoting SLF's values
Deliver accurate financial reports and cashflow forecasts
Maintain integrity of accounting systems and ensure reconciliations are up to date
Develop and manage operational and financial budgets with the CEO
Ensure compliance with internal controls and legal requirements
Lead risk management and quality improvement initiatives
You Will Bring To The Role
Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
10+ years' experience in financial leadership, ideally within professional services or law
Understanding and experience with QLS Trust account rules and regulations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
High integrity, dependability, and results-oriented mindset
Proven ability to lead and mentor teams
Excellent time management and organisational skills
