Position Overview
There are two (2) 12 month fixed-term full-time positions commencing Term 1, with possible extension and/or permanency.
Collie Senior High School (SHS) is proud of its strong, positive staff culture, which has contributed to a stable team for many years.
Due to staff movement, retirements, and leave, we are currently seeking to appoint two teachers for these roles, with the potential for these roles to become permanent in the future.

Role
We are looking for educators who demonstrate professional knowledge, effective practices, and experience in delivering an engaging and relevant secondary school curriculum across Humanities and Social Sciences.
Applicants who have experience or knowledge of Career and Vocational Education will be highly regarded.
Applicants should be relationship-focused, flexible, and committed to culturally responsive and inclusive learning approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Champion the school's vision and values, fostering a culture of honesty, respect, commitment, and aspiration.
Promote restorative practices and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to enhance student wellbeing and engagement.
Collaboratively work with staff to deliver and differentiate curriculum that meets the needs of individual students.
Provide purposeful and meaningful learning experiences aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
Employ research-based, high-impact teaching strategies to cater for diverse student needs.
Embed positive behaviour strategies within instructional practice.
Create and maintain a supportive, safe learning environment that enables all students to achieve their highest potential.
