E-commerce Strategy Mentor for Artisan Weaving Enterprise

This assignment seeks to strengthen women's weaving groups' capacity in e-commerce. There are a total of 26 weaving groups across West Timor and Flores that NTA partnered with to increase each member's household income. You will work alongside NTA teams in Kupang (Timor Island) and Maumere, Sikka (Flores Island) to identify new market opportunities, increase the capacity of weavers to access local and international markets, and support the development and implementation of an e-commerce platform or online strategy.

To be considered for this role you need experience and / or qualifications in small / medium enterprise e-commerce development. Experience with enterprises that empower women is a plus.

About the Partner Organisation

Nusa Tenggara Association (NTA) works to reduce poverty and vulnerability amongst communities in rural areas of the East Nusa Tenggara province in Indonesia. This could be achieved through facilitating and supporting sustainable income-generating activities, food security activities, access to water and sanitation, and education support, with motivated households in selected parts of West Timor and Flores. NTA is supported by NTA-Australia. NTA-Indonesia (NTA-I) is based in Kupang, capital of NTT, and has a dedicated core team of senior staff as well as field staff who work closely with the communities to implement agricultural, weaving, animal husbandry, water and sanitation, and education activities. NTA-Indonesia is NTA-as main implementing partner, overseeing and reporting on all project activities in Flores and West Timor. The NTA takes a grassroots approach to supporting the well‑being of the people of East Nusa Tenggara. NTA provides small‑scale funding and loans to local farming and weaving groups and schools to invest in projects that will improve their quality of life and ensure that the essentials of clean water, positive schools and productive livelihoods are possible for everyone.
