The Water Data Services Team fulfils the Bureau's commitment to ingest and manage water data under the Water Act 2007 and the Water Regulations 2008. The Water Data Services team within Data Program of Data and Digital Group is a multidisciplinary team that has responsibilities for collecting, managing, and disseminating water data for the whole of Australia. 
The Water Data Services Team is responsible for operating the Australian Water Information System (AWRIS). AWRIS supports end-to-end handling of water data and information from external suppliers through to web publication and data services. 
The Data Supplier Relationship Lead will monitor the ingestion of water data sent to the Bureau from external data providers. They will liaise directly with external data providers to support ongoing working relationships. They take a key role in ensuring that the integrity and quality of data provided by external data suppliers is maintained by analysing, ingesting and validating water data. 
While forming a pivotal role in the Water Data Services team, they will also work closely with teams from Community Services Group (CSG) and Business Solutions Group (BSG) to ensure timeliness of data for use in water products and forecasts. 
The position will require well developed communications skills, systems, data, problem solving and quality management skills. The position is in a multidisciplinary workplace that will provide specialist support on provider liaison, systems, water data analysis and quality processes.

Commitment to ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality water data services for customers, partners, and stakeholders. 
Understanding of environmental data particularly hydrological data. 
knowledge of specific issues around data sharing/standardisation/management. 
Sound data management knowledge, including an understanding of data flows, operational data management systems, data transfer formats, and data integration. 
Ability to produce excellent work individually and as part of a team.
