Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is an independent, non-profit organisation with its head office located near North Sydney. We are the world’s largest treatment and research centre with a single focus on melanoma, and our mission is to reach zero deaths from melanoma this decade.
MIA is seeking a Clinical Data Manager to assist with collection, collation, and cleaning of clinical information from various projects, including electronic medical images. The role involves collaboration with dermatology clinics, biostatistical and data management teams, and includes managing patient data in a clinical setting. This is a 2-year fixed-term contract, open to part-time applicants with a minimum of 0.6 FTE.
Responsibilities include data entry, quality assurance, sourcing pathology, electronic images, demographic, treatment, and follow-up data, and inputting into a database. Opportunities exist to contribute to research information management planning at MIA.
The data managed will support the development of a National Targeted Skin Cancer Screening Program, contributing to a significant national initiative alongside multidisciplinary teams including biostatisticians, dermatologists, epidemiologists, and other specialists.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Research and Biostatistics at MIA and be based at the Poche Centre in Wollstonecraft, Sydney.

Key Selection Criteria
To be successful, you will have:
Experience in clinical data management or clinical research/trials.
Understanding of medical terminology, pathology, and procedures.
Knowledge of principles ensuring data integrity and familiarity with relevant systems and processes.
Experience handling patient information or medical records.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical databases.
Knowledge of health data and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
Desirable Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in health or medical sciences.
Experience with data software such as Access or Excel.
Experience in research or clinical settings.
Previous research project involvement.
