Responsibilities
* Soldering electronic components onto PCBAs
* Assembling and testing products in accordance with work instructions and provided training
* Assist in rework and modification tasks, including supporting R&D activities (for example, building and testing prototype boards or assemblies)
* Getting involved in all areas of lab and production operations including setup, maintenance and support activities, as‐required basis.
* Assist in receiving goods and other inventory management tasks, including serialisation and labeling processes, stocktake, putting away stock
* Contributing to best practice quality control and continuous improvement activities
* Update documentation where appropriate
* Provide feedback to improve processes and systems
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as an Electronic Assembler within an electronic engineering or manufacturing background would be ideal.
* Ideally experienced in soldering small electronic components (0603, 0402, and sometimes 0201 sizes).
* Ideally IPC-certified (either current or previously)
* Be familiar with hand tools that are commonly used in electronic production (cutters, pliers, tweezers, wire strippers, screwdrivers etc)
* Have experience following testing procedures and using test jigs/fixtures (including running command line programs on the terminal via serial communications)
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Positive attitude as well as respect for other team members.
* Reliable & punctual.
* Ability to organise and prioritise several tasks.
* Self‐motivated and with an enthusiastic approach.
* The applicant would preferably have a strong recent work history in the Electronic manufacturing field.
