Senior Account Executive, Enterprise Software Sales

We are recruiting for a Senior Account Executive on behalf of an enterprise software provider in the communications and frontline workforce technology sector. This is a new business sales role. The focus is building pipeline, opening new Mid Market and Enterprise accounts and converting opportunities through pilot, negotiation and close. The role will suit a hunter who is comfortable creating demand, selling to senior decision makers and working through complex commercial sales cycles. It will not suit someone looking for a mainly account management role.

The opportunity

The product supports frontline teams through voice communication and digital workflow software. Retail is a key target market, so experience selling into retail, store operations, workforce technology or operational environments would be useful.

You will work directly with customers and also collaborate with channel teams, resellers and distributors where that helps create end user demand.

What you will do

* Build net new pipeline across Mid Market and enterprise accounts
* Prospect directly through cold calling, outbound activity and structured account targeting
* Secure pilots, shape commercial proposals, negotiate contracts and close new business
* Engage senior decision makers across customer organisations
* Work with pre sales, marketing, product, sales operations and customer success teams
* Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline data and CRM reporting

What you will bring

* 4+ years of enterprise sales, software sales or technology solution sales experience
* A clear record of new business acquisition, not only account management
* Strong prospecting discipline and comfort creating your own opportunities
* Experience selling to commercial accounts through complex buying processes
* Ability to explain technology value in practical business terms
* Confidence working with partners, resellers or distributors where needed

Experience with communications software, retail technology, workforce solutions or instore operations would be an advantage.

Startup experience would also be beneficial, particularly if you have sold products that require customer education, pilot activity and clear value articulation.
