Our menu showcases traditional dishes such as pho, banh mi, rice paper rolls, grilled meats, and regional specialities, all crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Chef (ANZSCO 351311) to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Vietnamese cuisine and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and cook dishes in accordance with our authentic Vietnamese menu and customer demand.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
- Manage kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and waste minimisation.
- Ensure all food handling, hygiene, and workplace safety standards are strictly maintained.
- Contribute to menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with management and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily service.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or at least three (3) years of relevant full-time experience.
- Strong culinary and leadership skills with the ability to manage kitchen operations effectively.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- A passion for authentic Vietnamese food and presentation excellence.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Previous experience working in a Vietnamese restaurant is highly regarded.

Workplace Details
This role may be based at any of our current restaurant locations in Howrah, Sandy Bay, or Sorell, depending on business needs and roster arrangements. The employee may also be required to work at new locations that may be established or acquired as the business continues to expand across Tasmania.
