Process Engineer – Tomago Aluminium
Location: Bar Beach, New South Wales, Australia.
Job Overview
Reporting to the Casting Process Superintendent, the Process Engineer will optimise casting processes, conduct process audits, provide technical assistance and advise on production optimisation, resource utilisation and safety/environmental risks.
Responsibilities
* Develop action plans to improve casting performance.
* Diagnose trends and carry out root‑cause analysis to optimise operations.
* Analyse historical data to predict future trends.
* Develop and review technical standard operating procedures.
* Coach and train team members to meet process performance targets.
* Conduct EH&S risk assessments and hazard identification.
Qualifications
* Chemical, Process or relevant Engineering qualifications, or demonstrated relevant experience.
* Experience in heavy industry and/or manufacturing environment desirable.
* Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
* Proven fault‑finding and root‑cause analysis experience.
* Sound technical and statistical analysis skills.
* Auditing experience and good planning, organisational and project‑management skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
