**THE ROLE**
You will be competent and able to provide pre-sales technical consultation, solutions and support for Building & Security Technology products.
**Key Responsibilities**
OEM Supplier Relationship and Product Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with all Building & Security Technology's overseas OEM suppliers and their teams, in both hardware and software development
- Maintain supplier relationships with the international OEM supply chain and conduct market research as needed, including a review of competitor pricing and/or features on equivalent models.
- Work as a liaison with category product specialists and OEM suppliers to design, develop and assess new and emerging products and software required.
- Responsible for OEM products information - FAQ and sales support material maintenance - Compatibility guide and consumption charts.
- Test QA samples for all incoming OEM imports and responsible for QA and testing and ongoing development
for all OEM software.
- Maintain datasheets and product/software information for OEM websites and company website and create accessories, datasheets and documentation & test basic integration and create a best practice guide.

- Effective OEM suppliers' relationships - OEM product KPIs are met - OEM products datasheets and
documentation is accurate, available and up to date - Technical Pre-Sales.
- Work with the national Sales team to ensure this distributor becomes the first choice for Building & Security Technology customers.
- Prepare technical documents in response to requests for information (RFI), requests for proposals (RFP), etc
**55% of your time in the role approx...**
- Pre-sales consultation and solutions meet requirements.
- Sales team feedback & key customers' feedback and provide technical recommendations on security, technology
and/or networking jobs and refer product recommendations to the Sales staff.
- Provide technical designs, implementations, and quotes for customers, and aid Sales staff with the same when needed
- Keep records of all pre-sales calls and activities in CRM system.
- Create quotation best practice guides for the most common quotes/pre-sales requests
- Prepare and report on quote market information for the National Alliance Manager - Building & Security Technology for monthly meetings.
- Work with Product teams to ensure product PDF's, ERP and website product pricing data is up to date and relevant to current customer offerings.
- Work with the Technical Services team to draft a Statement of Works (SOW) for post-sales support.
- Maintain knowledge of market trends and conditions of category products and the competitive landscape.
- Design and maintain functional and relevant Building and Security Technology displays in the showrooms nationally.

- Category demonstration and product training sessions.
- Technical Services team feedback.
- Showroom displays for category products
**Competencies Required**
- Minimum 1-2 years of technical pre-sales or estimating experience.
- Core understanding and enthusiasm for electrical, networking, security and surveillance technology.
- Experience working with overseas OEM suppliers and supply chains is desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate required Building & Security Technology products.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skill coupled with organisational and time management skills.
- Experience working with CRM software and MS Office
- Willing to travel when required
