Team and Role
Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world's most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
The shift pattern is a nine‐day fortnight, Monday to Friday, with rotating Night, Day & Afternoon shifts.
Your Role
* Internally this is a Production Operator (Level 10) role for the Nitrocellulose team
* Carrying out a range of routine and repetitive manual tasks
* Safely handling chemicals and raw materials in the manufacturing of products
* Maintaining a safe approach in the operation of equipment
* Operating as a team player with an eye for quality in adhering to set processes and related requirements
Your Experience
* Ideally possess previous experience in a similar position or production/manufacturing environment
* Previous experience working within a team across various shift patterns
* Dedicated to safe work practices
* Tasks are routine and repetitive requiring physical lift, push, pull and / or reach frequently when performing routine and manual tasks, as well as lifting
Security & Compliance
A Defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance. Additional information with regards to clearances is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website http://www.defence.gov.au/AGSVA/. In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role. The Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
