About the Role
Assist in preparations and negotiate with sub-contractors for the calling of quotations and letting of contracts, and provide contract administration services to assist in the project's control of contract costs.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and issue tender package documentation
* Liaise with site teams to ensure timely recognition, notification, and management of notices
* Maintain register of notices
* Manage contracts in Maximo and Contracts register
* Understand and interpret scope of works for each subcontracted section of works and communicate to Project Team
* Ensure procurement schedules are developed to reflect delivery requirements
* Promptly attend to and manage claims/disputes and refer to Commercial Manager
* Ensure that insurances are in place, adequate, and current for Sub Contracts
* Prepare tender documentation templates from standard suite of contracts or as nominated by Head contract requirements, including Head contract conditions
* Assist in the preparation of Subcontract tender documentation, tendering, assessment, award, and the preparation of Subcontracts with terms equal to or better than the Head Contract
* Assist in compiling project performance information for internal or external reports
* Provide accurate and up-to-date contract information, including potential commercial impacts on decisions
About You
* Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, or equivalent
* Postgraduate qualifications such as a graduate certificate or diploma in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Construction, Property, Quantity Surveying, Law, or related disciplines
* Relevant commercial administration experience in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related fields
* Proficiency in software packages such as Microsoft Office (including Excel) and experience with a contract management system (CRM)
* Experience with projects of varying values and complexities
* Knowledge of document control procedures according to records management standards
* Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation or codes to mitigate business risks
