The role
Position Summary
The Clinical Lead will provide clinical governance and oversight throughout the planning and delivery of fire sprinkler upgrade works across operational healthcare environments. This role ensures all project activities align with patient safety requirements, clinical workflows, and service delivery priorities, acting as the key interface between clinical services, the Projects Team, and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Identify & manage risks within designated clinical and non‐clinical areas and ensure risk assessments are undertaken and mitigation plans are included in staging plans.
- Develop and manage day‐to‐day staging plans within the agreed project schedule.
- Act as liaison for operational areas, installers, and support services, managing day‐to‐day activities as per the staging plan.
- Ensure clinical and operational teams have developed timely decanting or operational plans to ensure smooth transitions.
- Build & maintain strong working relationships with the project team, and clinical and operational staff throughout the project to ensure smooth delivery.
- Ensure contractors undertake works appropriately in all work areas, working collaboratively with the F&MS; coordinator.
- Participate in the Infection & Prevention Surveillance Committee meetings.
- Manage weekly progress reports on the 2‐week look‐ahead to all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Relevant clinical or project management experience within a healthcare setting.
- Solid organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage risks and support continuous improvement in clinical workflows.
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and hospital operational requirements is an advantage.
Employment Type
Fixed term, full‐time (12 months).
