Your key responsibilities as a senior contributor to the hardware design team are:
Professionally engaging in electronic project design and development activities including concept, feasibility, schematic capture, pcb artwork, verification, test and manufacture.
Acting as a product lead and subject matter expert, guiding clients and project teams.
Contributing to the development of the hardware team through improving your own capabilities and developing junior colleagues.
Ensuring that quality standards are met in line with the company’s quality management system.
Performing effective estimation of current and potential work for the hardware team.
Performing technical reviews for hardware designs and documents.
Acting as technical contact to clients and project managers for any electronics design related matters.
Contributing to improving hardware design processes, procedures, systems and documentation.
The following skills and experience are required for this role:
Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold working visa
Hold a relevant degree from a reputable University (e.g. Bachelor of Electronics Engineering)
Have worked as a professional electronics design engineer for 7 or more years
Be registered as a professional engineer in Victoria (if based in Victoria)Be competent in the design of analog and digital electronics
Have experience in the design of electronic products from concept to manufacture
Be proficient in Altium schematic capture and PCB layout
Possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
