Technical Account Manager Job Description

This is a strategic role that focuses on building and maintaining relationships with existing customers. As a Technical Account Manager, you will work closely with our internal teams to ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded.

* You will be responsible for managing customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction of key stakeholders on site.
* Transfer of knowledge as required to Field staff to ensure continuity of delivery.
* Identify sales growth opportunities and develop strategies to achieve company objectives.
* Creation of quotes within the system.
* Opportunity funnel management and follow-through order completion from quote to delivery.
* Continual product improvement identification.
* Maintenance of scheduled customer meetings for relationship and business opportunity development.


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a technical sales or account management role.
* Technical/trade qualification in Electronics Engineering, Communications or IT Solutions Architecture (highly regarded but not essential).
* Experience in Surface or Underground mining and Hazardous Areas (desirable).
* A sound understanding of the mining market and ecosystem.
* Adequate experience and capability in computing programs and tools.
* Excellent understanding of human behavior, high emotional intelligence with the capacity to thrive under pressure.
* Excellent time management skills.
* A valid driver's license.
