Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist | Defence & Government
We are seeking an experienced Costing & Funding Analyst to support a major Commonwealth aviation program. This role is critical to improving the program’s financial insight, long‑range costing accuracy, and value‑for‑money outcomes.
You will work closely with the Deputy Director, Commercial Support, and senior stakeholders to analyse historic financial and invoicing data, build defensible cost models, and develop dashboards that inform strategic decision‑making.
This is a Newcastle-only requirement and cannot be performed remotely.

Clearance: NV1 (preferred) Baseline (upgradeable)

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse up to 10 years of historic financial and invoicing data
- Identify anomalies, variations, and root causes behind cost movements
- Perform costing and funding modelling to support forecasting and reporting
- Extract required financial and invoicing data fields for accurate analysis
- Develop dashboards (Power BI or similar) for ASCISPO Executive and stakeholders
- Produce clear, accurate reports that inform financial decision‑making
- Provide expert advice on costing, funding and revenue analytics
- Ensure all reporting outputs meet stakeholder expectations and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with commercial, finance and capability teams to resolve complex issues
- Support cost‑of‑ownership and value‑for‑money assessments across the capability
- Provide timely, insight‑driven recommendations based on high‑quality data
Qualifications
- Experience in cost analysis, data analytics or forensic accounting
- Ability to interrogate and interpret large, historic datasets
- Strong understanding of invoicing processes and financial data extraction
- Demonstrated ability to analyse variations and explain financial anomalies
- Experience developing reporting dashboards (Power BI or equivalent)
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical mindset and investigative approach
Highly Regarded
- Defence, aerospace or government experience
- Experience supporting commercial or capability programs
- Understanding of revenue analysis and financial reporting
