Overview
Business Development Manager – Databricks at NCS Australia. The role focuses on go-to-market efforts, hunting new business, and expanding existing client relationships in the Australian market. You will act as the lead sales resource with the core sales team as a Databricks specialist, managing the full sales lifecycle from planning and prospecting through to deal closure. You will work closely with customers to build long-term partnerships and shape growth strategies in collaboration with NCS Group, Databricks, and the partner ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Lead on GTM efforts for Databricks and data/AI/cloud solutions in Australia. Focus on winning new business (net-new logos) while expanding existing client relationships. Serve as the trusted advisor to clients and craft growth strategies in collaboration with partners. Manage the full sales lifecycle from planning and prospecting to deal closure. Balance hunting with farming to maximize client value and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in business development and sales within a systems integrator, ISV, or technology consultancy.
- Solid background in Data Analytics or Data Platforms (Databricks or Snowflake preferred).
- Well-established network across Australian enterprise, government, and technology partners.
- Skilled in new business acquisition, from lead generation and prospecting through to deal closure.
- Ability to understand client challenges and translate them into high-value solutions.
- Strong commercial acumen and results-driven mindset, with resilience under pressure.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a client-first approach.
- Confident in presentations, workshops, and coaching to drive engagement.
- Strategic thinker with adaptability to navigate complex and changing environments.
