The Executive Officer, Mental Health Branch (MHB) provides expert advice to the Executive Director, Mental Health Branch regarding current and emerging issues to guide branch management and strategic relationship directions. The role serves as a focal point for all matters that require the direct intervention of the Executive Director and provides high level strategic advice in relation to branch management and executive support.
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,739 - $173,174 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you\'ll be doing
- Develop and maintain sustainable and productive relationships and communication with senior Ministry and NSW Health staff, staff in the Ministers’ Offices and other key stakeholders as part of providing quality, timely professional advice and action in relation to high level strategic issues.
- Provide high level support to the Executive Director by identifying contentious issues, assessing risks, collating accurate and appropriate information and ensuring it is delivered within tight deadlines to keep the Executive Director informed on critical matters.
- Manage implementation and monitoring of major branch level policy, reform and change initiatives, including development of Cabinet Minutes, submissions and reports to Government.
- Research and develop ministerial briefings, cabinet minutes, correspondence, responses to parliamentary questions, speech notes and discussion papers in order to address issues and provide a basis for decision making.
