Your new role
As a Data Modelling Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain modern, scalable data solutions across cloud and analytics environments. You will work with Airflow/Astronomer to orchestrate complex workflows, develop modular transformation pipelines using DBT, and optimise Snowflake performance through efficient modelling and query design. You will build high‑quality ETL pipelines in Python, support machine learning workflows in collaboration with Data Scientists, and ensure delivery excellence through strong CI/CD practices using GitLab. This role sits within an agile team with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and engineering best practice. Adelaide‑based candidates are highly preferred.
What you'll need to succeed
5+ years' experience as a Data Engineer delivering scalable data solutions
Proficiency with Apache Airflow/Astronomer for workflow orchestration
Strong hands‑on experience in DBT and modular transformation pipelines
Deep expertise in Snowflake, including performance tuning and optimisation
Advanced Python for ETL, automation, and API integration
Experience supporting machine learning and feature engineering workflows
Strong understanding of CI/CD and GitLab for automated deployments
Excellent communicator with strong teamwork skills in agile environments
