The Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our Adelaide-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse commercial projects within a company that values professionalism, accountability, teamwork and long-term relationships.
You will play a key role in the commercial and contractual management of projects from commencement through to completion.
What You'll Do
* Prepare, review and administer subcontracts and supplier agreements issuing trade claims as required.
* Analyse and interpret project head contract including commercial conditions, ensuring compliance with contract terms, statutory legislation and regulations.
* Ensure subcontractor and supplier contracts are in place and administer trade claims as required.
* Manage procurement activities, ensuring critical items are identified and ordered within required timeframes.
* Monitor project budgets, margins and costs to ensure commercial targets are achieved or exceeded.
* Prepare and submit variation claims, PC sum adjustments and progress claims in a timely manner, obtaining required approvals.
* Coordinate project start-up procedures and ensure timely issue and distribution of documentation to all stakeholders.
* Schedule works in line with contractual timeframes and monitor progress throughout construction.
* Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
* Support site teams with trade contractor management, procurement and issue resolution.
* Manage disputes and claims ethically, fairly and in line with company values.
* Oversee contract close-out, including warranties, O&M manuals, as-built documentation and maintenance regimes.
* Maintain accurate project records and reporting in accordance with company systems.
* Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, Australian Standards, the BCA and the company's Quality Management System.
* Contribute to quality, financial and project reporting as required by management.
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualification in Construction, Project Management or similar, or a minimum of 10 years' equivalent industry experience
* Proven experience in the administration of contracts within commercial construction
* Fluent understanding of construction contracts, drawings, specifications and construction reports
* Proficient in construction scheduling and cash flow forecasting
* Proficiency in Procore
* Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Capability of working unsupervised, while contributing positively to a team environment
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the WHS Act, relevant Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia (BCA)
* Current Driver's Licence and White Card
