**The Role**
The Capability Acquisition & Sustainment Group (CASG) Coordination Directorate has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and professional EL1 team leader within our Ministerial and Parliamentary Coordination team.
You will be responsible for managing all CASG ministerial and parliamentary matters, including briefings, correspondence and Parliamentary hearings and actively managing key stakeholder relationships.
This is an exciting and dynamic position that offers a challenge for a well organised professional, allowing the incumbent to develop a high-level understanding of how CASG supports the Australian Defence Organisation.
You will lead a team of APS ministerial and parliamentary support staff with varied experience derived from Defence, government and non-government organisations.
**About our Team**
The Ministerial and Parliamentary Coordination team works in the CASG Coordination Directorate. The Directorate also manages the CASG Committee Support, Audit and Freedom of Information Coordination functions and reports to the Director, CASG Coordination within the Business Operations Branch.
We are committed to providing high-level service delivery to support our Senior Executives and the Enterprise. We engage with a wide range of APS and ADF personnel from various levels and disciplines across Defence and work closely with the Deputy Secretary CASG to ensure the Group delivers timely and quality information to Defence Ministers and their staff. This role is a critical service delivery function to the CASG Executive.
This role is available on a full time basis and requires a minimum office presence of three days per week to allow for the effective and efficient compilation of products and engagement with the CASG Executive.
This recruitment activity may generate a merit pool, which will be used to fill vacancies in other ministerial and parliamentary coordination teams in Defence.
We are seeking an individual who is an engaged, motivated professional with an interest in Defence and contributing to CASG.
You will have a proven understanding of parliamentary processes with demonstrated experience in ministerial processes in the Commonwealth environment.
You will be an excellent communicator with a proven record of stakeholder engagement and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will be experienced in engaging with a range of stakeholders and understand the importance of service delivery and meeting deadlines within the organisation.
As a leader of a small team APS staff, you will support professional development of team members, which includes reviewing work to ensure high quality outputs.
