Divisional Financial Controller (Engineering, Trades and Labour Division) We are looking for a commercially minded Divisional Financial Controller for our Engineering, Trades and Labour Division. This fast paced, highly visible and influential role will lead the Accounting and Payroll functions across a range of corporate entities. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial performance, compliance, reporting, and business partnering activities while leading and mentoring a high‑performing finance team. This dynamic opportunity is for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery.
Responsibilities
Leading all divisional finance operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
Preparing month‑end reports for Divisional CEO and Group CFO, including KPIs, dashboards and analysis
Key monthly cycle lodgments and reporting including: BAS, payroll, tax, superannuation, workers compensation
Preparing divisional cash flow forecasts for submission to Group Finance/Treasury
Improving the finance operating model to generate efficiencies and cost improvements
Overseeing the weekly payroll process for on‑hire employees
Partnering with operational leaders to improve business performance and profitability
Identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting system enhancements
What you need
Min 5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant, Controller or Company Accountant
Qualified Accountant (CA or CPA)
Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
Strong influencing skills to achieve outcomes
Management and development of teams
Focus on efficiency and business improvement
Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
Advanced financial reporting and analytical skillsli>
Strong systems knowledge and process improvement mindset
