We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional to support ongoing database operations and help transition a large-scale MS SQL environment as part of a major managed services initiative.Key Responsibilities:Participate in onboarding and transition activities for existing MS SQL environments, including workshops and documentation preparation.Support operational readiness and contribute to go-live planning and execution.Carry out day-to-day database administration tasks such as performance tuning, backups, patching, and availability management.Troubleshoot and resolve incidents while minimising downtime or impact on business operations.Collaborate with broader infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration across compute, storage, and cloud platforms.Document procedures and best practices while contributing to continuous process improvement.Assist in aligning database operations with DevOps and automation goals.Follow and enforce database security protocols to meet federal compliance standards.Support future cloud migration initiatives with insights on current database architecture.Exposure to Oracle databases is advantageous but not essential.What We're Looking For:3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in on-premises and cloud (ideally Azure) environments.Proven capabilities in maintaining database health, performance, and high availability.Familiarity with ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
