We're currently seeking a skilled Family Case Worker to join our Family Services team on a full-time, 12-month contract (38 hours per week) based in our Grafton office, delivering services across the Clarence Valley. For the right candidate, this role may lead to a permanent full-time position.

About the Role
The Family Worker plays a vital role in delivering culturally safe, responsive and flexible support services for children, young people, families and communities. The role focuses on promoting family and community wellbeing while reducing vulnerability and risk factors, including those associated with child abuse, neglect and family violence.
Using a strengths-based and culturally responsive approach, you will:
* Provide case management and parenting support
* Advocate for children, young people and families
* Make referrals and connect families with appropriate services
* Support families to navigate challenges, reduce vulnerability and risk factors, and build resilience and long-term stability
About You:
You will have a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and families, along with experience working with families at risk.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Minimum Diploma in Community Service/Welfare or related disciplin
* Minimum of three years working in Community Services
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of early childhood development, family dynamics and trauma informed practice
* Demonstrated experience in case management including identifying risk factors, providing referrals and advocating for families in accessing appropriate support.
* Comprehensive understanding of Domestic Violence and Child Protection
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A current full drivers licence
* A First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
You will also be required to hold or obtain:
* Working with Children Check
* Criminal History Screening
* NDIS Worker Check
