This is a permanent full-time role within the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) Branch, leading the development of an organisation’s asset management system and supporting enhanced asset management maturity.
The role involves providing technical leadership, asset planning, monitoring, reporting, and opportunities for continuous improvement to futureproof an organisation’s asset portfolio through contemporary strategic asset management practices.
Position Responsibilities
 * Lead and manage a technically skilled team to deliver EPMO’s strategic asset management services.
 * Identify, explore and deliver opportunities for continuous improvement.
 * Develop and maintain long-term asset management plans aligned with risk, service standards, and sustainability.
 * Deliver detailed planning, monitoring, and reporting to support strategic decisions.
 * Implement asset management initiatives and projects aligned with an organisation’s initiative lifecycle.
 * Manage risks and issues and provide transparent progress and outcome reporting to stakeholders and asset management governance bodies.
 * Build collaborative relationships across an organisation and communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Key Qualifications and Skills
 * Extensive experience coordinating and delivering strategic asset management services, preferably within the public sector or local government.
 * Strong leadership, organisational, and cultural awareness skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
 * Proficient in analysing qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing business cases, reports, and stakeholder communications.
 * Skill in navigating complex stakeholder dynamics and fostering collaboration.
 * Tertiary qualification in relevant fields such as business management, project management, information management, or engineering.
