NT Cardiac Pty Ltd (NTC) is a Northern Territory owned and operated independent Cardiology Medical Practice located in Darwin Private Hospital and Parap Shopping Village in Darwin, NT.
Our practice provides comprehensive medical services for treatment of cardiac conditions for patients in Darwin and the Top End of the Northern Territory. Our services include cardiologist consultations, diagnostic tests, cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography), Coronary CT scans, and diagnostic and interventional procedures in our Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab).

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and ASAR qualified Cardiac Sonographer to join our specialist practice for locum work, fixed term or part time contracts. The role is based in Darwin with travel opportunities to remote communities.

This role represents a unique partnership and employment opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Sonographer working across multiple sites – Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals, Darwin Private Hospital and in Top End Regional Hospitals (Katherine and Gove) and community health centres.
Key Responsibilities
Performing high quality echocardiographic studies on both inpatients and outpatients, including 3D/4D analysis, strain imaging, saline and contrast bubble studies as required
Performing stress and dobutamine stress echocardiographic studies
Performing echocardiograms in regional and remote hospitals and community health centres
Preparing a preliminary report of findings for review by Cardiologists, including liaising with other clinical staff and Cardiologists as necessary
Ensuring all appropriate hygienic standards are met during clinical examinations, including preparation of clinic rooms and sanitising equipment
Informing management of any malfunction or suboptimal performance of equipment and assisting with rectifying any issues as required
Attending meetings and training courses as required, and
Consistently demonstrating excellence in the provision of patient care.

Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Willingness to undergo police and working with children checks
Flexibility for regional travel as required
