VM Family Law is a specialist family law firm with offices in Brookwater, Toowoomba, and the Gold Coast. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts and Billing Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. This could be a role at the Toowoomba or Brookwater office, or a WFH position.
This is a newly created role and an opportunity to take ownership of the financial administration that keeps our growing practice running smoothly.
The role
* Trust account receipting, transfers, and monthly reconciliations
* Trust accounting compliance and annual audit preparation
* AML/CTF record-keeping and compliance support
* Bank account monitoring, office receipting, and payment of bills
* Client invoicing and debtor follow-up
* Working alongside our bookkeeper and external accountant
About you
* Experience in legal accounts administration, including trust accounting and billing
* Experience with Xero (or similar) and Smokeball
* Familiarity with AML/CTF compliance requirements for professional services
* Accurate, organised, and able to work independently
* A genuine interest in improving financial processes and finding better ways to do things
