The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely commercial finance role within one of Australia's most exciting growth stories in the property investment sector that encapsulates retail, logistics, industrial and hospitality assets.
The Brisbane business forms part of a global investment group that manages assets across Australia and abroad, with ambitions to double its portfolio again over the coming years.
You will report directly to the Finance Director, an accomplished leader with a strong background across private equity and M&A. Together, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders across operations, legal and corporate development, as well as external advisers, to deliver financial insights that influence investment decisions and drive performance.

The Leadership and Team
You will be mentored by a Finance Director who combines deep transactional expertise with a collaborative, growth-oriented leadership style. As their 2IC, you will gain meaningful exposure to senior-level strategy while developing your technical and commercial toolkit. The broader team operates with energy and focus, balancing rigour with agility as the business scales rapidly across Australia.
What You'll Do Financial Planning & Analysis
* Support the preparation and maintenance of group-wide budgets and rolling profit forecasts.
* Perform ongoing financial performance analysis, including variance analysis and identification of cost-saving opportunities.
* Develop and maintain financial models to support management decision-making.
Acquisitions & Due Diligence Support
* Assist with financial due diligence for acquisitions, including analysis of financial information, key assumptions, and risks.
* Support legal due diligence by coordinating financial inputs, reviewing commercial terms, and identifying financial and operational risks.
* Assist with transaction-related modelling and analysis as required.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance (Support Role)
* Support the Legal & Finance Manager in liaising with external accountants and tax advisers on operational matters and transactions.
* Monitor compliance timelines and assist with information gathering and documentation.
Operational Finance & Auditing
* Conduct monthly rent arrears audits and investigate variances.
* Monitor building and construction expenditure against approved budgets.
* Identify control weaknesses and recommend process improvements.
Who You Are
We say it often, attitude trumps all. Strong communication is essential, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, shape strategy, and influence decisions. Technically, your experience should include:
* 3–5 years' experience across FP&A, corporate finance or transaction support
* Strong financial modelling and analytical capability with advanced Excel skills
* Exposure to valuations, deal or portfolio modelling, and financial due diligence
* Solid understanding of financial statements and performance drivers
* CA, CPA or CFA qualified or currently progressing
* Confident communicator with strong commercial awareness and stakeholder influence skills
* Motivated, curious and adaptable within a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
