About the Role:
Our client, a well-regarded shopping centre landlord, is seeking a Retail Maintenance Manager to join their team in Northern NSW.
In this role, you'll be hands-on in ensuring the centre is well maintained, safe, and welcoming for the local community playing a key part in its day to day operations and presentation.
Key Duties:
* Manage daily maintenance tasks and repairs to optimise the centre's presentation and function
* Assist in preparing and maintaining a 12-month maintenance schedule
* Coordinate timely responses to retailer complaints and ensure daily centre maintenance
* Follow procedures for insurance claims and manage WHS compliance
* Conduct regular WHS audits, equipment testing, and annual fire drills
* Complete contractor inductions and regular maintenance inspections
* Understand and manage contracts, monitor performance, and ensure safe work practices
* Play an active role in disaster management and maintain relationships with emergency services
Skills & experience:
* Trade background is advantageous, but not essential
* A track record of operational administration within a corporate organisation
* Sound technical understanding of base building plant and equipment
* Strong computer skills as well as a good level of numeracy and analytical skills
* Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
* Capacity to work flexible hours, including weekend work when required
