About the Role
This is a challenging opportunity to provide financial and accounting support for the operation and control of assets and capital expenditure.
You will work closely with the finance team to develop and grow your career, applying your knowledge and skills in asset management and financial reporting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Assisting with the month-end close process, maintaining depreciation rates, setting up budgets and projects in SAP, releasing funds, and tracking progress;
* SUPPORTING the processes around asset movements and asset verification;
* Ensuring complete and accurate capital expenditure inputs into the general ledger;
* Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure reconciliations, controls, and detailed review in closing out matters;
* Identifying improvements in fixed asset control and driving the continuous improvement of financial reporting, systems, and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Providing timely and accurate financial information and insights to support business decision-making;
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and reports related to asset management and capital expenditure;
Developing and implementing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness in asset management and financial reporting.
About You
You will be an analytical individual with a focus on attention to detail, passionate about supporting the business in their management of new and existing assets as well as capital expenditure. You have a relevant qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics or Finance, and are a CA/CPA or working towards it. You have relevant experience in a finance-based role in a large organisation and have worked with financial information processing systems/applications. Experience in asset or lease accounting and using SAP is highly desirable.
